Become a competent IT Professional
and gain employment with the Edo State Government.
The Edo State Government, in partnership with Greenzone Innovative Technologies & Decagon Institute, is providing FREE training in IT skills for Edo State indigenes, via the EDSG STEM Training Program.
The EDSG STEM Training Program avails talented Edo State indigenes the opportunity to become competent IT professionals within 12 months (4 months of training, and 8 months of internship), while infusing them with critical soft skills to enable them stand out in the work place.
Mode of Learning & Duration of Training
The program offers a hybrid learning model, combining both in-person and virtual sessions.
1 week in-person (physical) training sessions per month
3 weeks virtual/online training sessions per month
4 months overall training duration
Location for In-Person (Physical) Sessions
Address: Okhoromi community, Decagon Institute, Ohen St, Benin City.
Accommodation and feeding will be provided to Participants during the 1 week per month in-person/physical sessions.
After the training, participants will do an 8 months internship with Greenzone Innovative Technologies.
Upon completion of the internship,Top performing participants will be granted job opportunities with the Edo State Government
The training commences on 1st August 2024.

Networking Connectivity Support
This track equips you with the knowledge and skills to install, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain computer networks. You'll gain expertise in network protocols, devices, and security to ensure reliable connectivity within an organization.
Cloud/DevOps
Learn the fundamentals of cloud computing and DevOps methodologies in this track. You'll explore cloud platforms, automation tools, and development processes to deliver IT solutions efficiently and reliably.
Database Management
Master the art of storing, organizing, and retrieving data effectively in this track. You'll delve into database structures, query languages, and administration tools to manage critical information systems.
End-User Computing Support
This track equips you to provide technical assistance to end-users within an organization. You'll learn troubleshooting techniques, software applications, and communication skills to resolve user issues efficiently.
Information Security
In this crucial track, you'll gain a strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and practices. You'll learn how to protect information systems and data from unauthorized access, use, disclosure, disruption, modification, or destruction.
Infrastructure Management
This track equips you with the skills to plan, deploy, and manage IT infrastructure, including hardware, software, and network resources. You'll ensure the smooth operation and performance of critical IT systems.
DHIS2
DHIS2 is a powerful open-source health information system. This track provides you with in-depth knowledge of DHIS2 functionalities, enabling you to collect, analyze, and interpret health data effectively. You'll be prepared to contribute to public health initiatives and improve healthcare delivery.

Greenzone Internship Opportunities
This program goes beyond traditional classroom learning. After completion of the training, participants wil do an 8 months internship with Greenzone innovative Technologies. This practical experience will allow participants to hone their skills and enable them function optimally in a real-world setting, and build their professional network.
Job Placement Opportunities with Edo State Government
Participants who have performed well in the training and internship will be granted job opportunities with the Edo State Government, so they can begin to contribute directly to the technological advancement of Edo State's public sector.
Who can apply for the training program?
To be eligible for consideration into the training program, you must meet these basic criteria:
Be a graduate
(have at least a Bachelor’s Degree (BSc) or Higher National Diploma (HND). You must have your verifiable certificate)
Have an NYSC Completion Certificate or Exemption Letter
Be an indigene of Edo State, Nigeria. You will be required to provide your Edo State Local Government of Origin Certificate.
Who will be selected for the program?
The top performing candidates in the application process from each Edo State Local Government will be selected.
Applicants must first meet the basic criteria mentioned above to be considered
